13 years ago, the captain of the George Mason Soccer Team found his way into Dr. Nagda’s office. Having sustained a severe collarbone fracture, he was told by another doctor that his season and likely career were over.
Interview with USWNT Physician Dr. Sameer Nagda, Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United
Dr. Nagda Spoke to the The National Academy of Future Physicians and Medical Scientists. There was a group of several thousand doctors to be who listened as Dr. Nagda described his daily job and how he got to his current position. He also narrated and showed a previously recorded live surgery for the group.
Dr. Sameer Nagda, an orthopedic sports medicine specialist who works for Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic and is affiliated with Inova Mount Vernon Hospital, was selected by the U.S. Olympic Committee as the team physician for the U.S. women’s soccer team. Nagda will be joined by another orthopedic surgeon and a general internal medicine doctor.
The U.S. Olympic Committee chose Sameer Nagda, MD of Alexandria, VA-based Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic, to serve as the U.S. Women's Soccer team physician at the 2016 Olympics.
